STEP ONE: Discuss Shot Types.
Watch a SpongeBob episode.

STEP TWO: Talk About the 3 major shot types and what they are primarily used for in making video.

STEP THREE: Pick your favorite 3 movies.  Create a 4-slide presentation that includes a CU, MS and WS from each movie you selected.  For example if you image-search for "Forrest Gump Close Up" -  you get a lot of great images.  You just need 1 of each type.

STEP FOUR: Turn it in to my Google Classroom site at

TEN THINGS TO REMEMBER - COMPOSITION

In GROUPS of 2 or 3, Get the shots listed below. AS you are shooting them, have a group member say what is happening. For example, as you are shooting the first shot say or have someone say “This is our example of the rule of thirds.” Make sure you get plenty of footage, since you will be able to edit your video.
